"Maryland State Delegate Christian Miele is aiming to rid Maryland of PARCC tests and has talked with some educators who feel it would be a good move.
'I've met with teachers that feel this is a big drain on resources, the test doesn't correlate to success on the SAT, so what we're looking to do is eliminate the PARCC tests,' Miele said. 'We have to call it for what it is, it is a failed standardized test that was run by Pearson that created this huge bureaucracy and its really hurting our kids, its taking them away from precious classroom time.'
He is proposing to eliminate it and replace it with either the CAT test, TerraNova or Stanford 10 tests."
