"A meeting at Perry Hall High School was held Thursday night to discuss student safety. It was scheduled following an incident with a replica gun last month.
Parents, students and community leaders packed the cafeteria to discuss bullying, harassment and threats at the school.
Baltimore County Delegate Christian Miele said his office has been getting calls about student safety.
'Over the last year or so, my office has fielded dozens of complaints from Baltimore County public schools' parents, grandparents and legal guardians who feel that their children and grandchildren are no longer safe within the walls of our schools. The incidents brought to my attention involve bullying, cyberbullying, intimidation and harassment. Thankfully no one got injured bringing firearms on school property,' Miele said.
Miele said he's working bipartisan on legislation to prevent bullying, and a bill that would revoke a student's driver's license for one to three years for bringing a firearm on school property."
